Our Leadership Team
Sanjiv Aggarwal
Managing Director
Sanjiv brings over 30 years of management experience spanning Finance, Operations, Sales & Business Development, and International Business across automotive and non-automotive industries. Since joining VBS India in 2012, he has served as director engineering and technical operations while also fulfilling CFO and strategic advisor roles. He has been instrumental in VBS’s growth through establishing ventures, contract assembly operations, and business development initiatives for clients. His comprehensive understanding of engineering and technical business practices and manufacturing operation makes him invaluable to clients. Sanjiv is a Chartered Accountant with additional management training in the United States.
Vijay Naikwade
Director of Engineering
Vijay is a seasoned engineering executive with over 20 years of experience driving end-to-end product development across embedded software, hardware engineering, and project management. He brings deep expertise in automotive technologies, including AUTOSAR, software architecture, and functional safety standards. Throughout his career, Vijay has led cross-functional global teams across Americas, Germany, Japan, France, and Italy, spanning automotive, home appliances, industrial automation, and defense industries. As Director of Engineering at VBS, he oversees the electronics engineering group’s growth and strategy across Pune and Hyderabad facilities, defining engineering strategy, driving product development, and scaling teams to handle growing client demands. Vijay holds a master’s degree in electronics science from Modern College, Pune.
Sridhar Karupothula
Refrigeration Group Manager
Sridhar brings over 17 years of experience in refrigeration technology, electrical controls, electro-mechanical systems, and industrial automation, specializing in end-to-end refrigeration solutions with advanced technologies including CO2, A2L, and next-generation HFC refrigerants. As Refrigeration Group Manager at VBS since 2016, he has built and scaled the team to over 50 engineers supporting North American clients, delivering cutting-edge designs for parallel rack refrigeration systems, display cases, and walk-in freezers tailored to North American standards. Prior to VBS, Sridhar spent over 9 years in R&D driving development of energy-efficient refrigeration technologies and industrial automation systems. He holds a bachelor’s in electrical and electronics engineering from JNTU Kakinada and a master’s in electrical power systems from JNTU Hyderabad.
Rameez AY
Automation Group Manager
Rameez serves as Automation Group Manager at VBS, joining the team in 2020. He brings broad experience in industrial automation design and robotics, combining technical expertise with strong leadership and client focus. A mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Calicut in Kerala, Rameez began his career in manufacturing plants before transitioning to engineering services. At VBS, he leads the Automation Group, working closely with North American clients on key automation projects and delivering innovative solutions. Guided by the principle that automation should create measurable value, Rameez integrates advanced technologies into practical engineering applications while fostering collaboration and clear communication. Outside work, he writes about industrial automation trends, explores emerging technologies, and mentors aspiring engineers.
